Van Asselt Community Center Teen Summer Tile Mural Project for the John C. Little, Sr. Park at New Holly, Summer 2011.
What is one thing that makes you different than your friends?
My friends are immature and ugly.
I’m lighter than my friends. My friends are darker.
I don’t know.
My teeth are straight.
I’m athletic.
I have way better Jordans than my friends.
I go to a different school than my friends.
I have a championship boxing belt.
I’m weird.
My hair gets spiky when I go into the water.
My pie at home is broken and my finger is black.
I love zombies.
I run fast.
I have dreads.
I have talent.
I am taller than my friends.
What is one thing you wished people knew about you?
That I know how to sing.
That I love unicorns.
That I love zombies.
That I want to be a zombie.
People already know everything about me.
I want to fly.
I play basketball.
That I box and I’m a champion.
I wish people knew that I am shy.
I don’t want people to know anything about me.
Nothing.
I’m not weird.
I love monsters.
I love hyenas.
I don’t know.
I have dreads.
