I am inspired by outriders at racetracks and am artistically exploring them. The painting "Outrider" expresses the power of horses even after a race, the steadfast unwavering relationship of outriders to their horses, and the fact that animals will always carry us, even when they are tired. I saw connection between these ideas and breast cancer. I dedicate this painting with love to my friend Ria, a breast cancer survivor.

International artist, photographer and writer Tatiana von Tauber in conjunction with Horizon Gallery presents THE ART CURE, a breast cancer awareness art project which invites patients and survivors to paint a work of art that will be auctioned off for charity. Opening 1 October 2010 Horizon Gallery, Savannah GA. Exhibition runs through 29 October 2010. Auction details TBA.
